'Round Midnight: Loud Quiet Loud 11/10/2009 11:30 PM
Every day in the market doesn't deliver bountiful opportunities, and today was a day where there weren't many, at least for me.
In a "normal" market you go through these cycles of big moves, then tight ranges.......quiet, then loud. Quiet then loud. Loud Quiet Loud. if you know about the group that influenced Kurt Cobaine (the Pixies), you'll know what I mean.
That's how the world is. In markets. In music. In many things.
Many of us would like to see the sort of seasonal rally running into Thanksgiving and beyond where you can get aggressive, even leveraged long, and buy every pullback.
Right now that feels suicidal. Who wants to destroy a good year in a couple of days?
Right now I am going to look at how the Aussie Dollar is trading because that is often a good tell for what is coming here the next day.
